This is a nice cheap place to stay for a quick overnight. They need a vacancy sign so that when the Comfort Inn across the street is full, people know that they have a room available of right across the street. The Comfort Inn will not tell you to check there they refer you to the other big chains.
If all you want is a bed and no other standard hotel accommodations then this is the place for you, but everything is low on quality for paying the same price as a good inside room with full breakfast and pool at a chain hotel.
3 stars for an old but well kept motel, this place is old and not well kept. WHO gave this place 5 stars? Their account should be taken away. But hey, 50 bucks and no bedbugs.
My girlfriend found a cricket in her bag this morning and we will just assume it is a Kansas native and didn't travel with us from Colorado. Also, forget what I said about the bathroom being clean. There was a lot of hair on the floor when we arrived.
All the chains were full around here. I was skeptical to stay here. However, the staff were very nice. They let me look in the room to confirm I was comfortable staying here before paying. It was clean. Pet friendly. Large field/grassy area for dogs to walk/run. Room had cable, mini fridge, microwave and rocking recliner. AAA discount accepted too. 50$ total for the night. We slept well.
The website said it was $45 or so and when we got there it was $75 for a "budget" hotel. It was the last place in town though so ok. But for $75 you should get your money's worth. The grass is uncut here, the bathroom fan howls loud enough to drown out a Kansas windstorm outside (although it moves about the same amount of air as a small tornado) and the breakfast wasn't even edible. The cereal was tough and stale, the yogurt was warm and runny to the point we had to pull over on the side of the interstate to dump it out, and the coffee had no flavor. I ended up making instant coffee on a camp stove in the parking lot as there is no coffee maker in the room.
Conveniently right off the highway. Good price. Beds were surprisingly comfortable for a discount hotel. Only downside of stay was the brown recluse spiders in the room. One almost bit our 2 year old special needs son as we were leaving. Breakfast was very basic, but got us moving for the day back on the road to our destination. We would stay here again.
The room and bathroom was decently clean and the bed was average for a cheep hotel, but that is why it got two stars.
